Bioniqs is the 'Young Bioscience Company of the Year'

Bioniqs have been rewarded at the Yorkshire Forward Bioscience Awards 2007 for their rapid development over the last year. The York based enterprise picked up the prestigious ‘Young Bioscience Company of the Year’ award on the 6th September after a year that has seen a significant degree of momentum building around the Bioniqs brand.

Their solvent design and recommendation service has become increasingly important to industries having to cope with the introduction of stringent environmental legislation. Industrial chemical consumers can now task Bioniqs with recommending more environmentally benign alternative solvents for their applications.

The annual Bioscience Awards provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and successes of regional business. Bioniqs Marketing Manager Robert Newton expressed his delight at picking up the award from BBC Radio 4 presenter Quentin Cooper and Yorkshire Forward board member Barry Dodd (all pictured below).

“It was real pleasure to pick up the young company of the year award on behalf of Bioniqs. We have put a great deal of work into developing this solvent technology and facilitating its transition into an attractive package for industry. Our marketing activities over the last year have enabled us to interact with and create a significant presence in the marketplace.” Robert adds that the important job now is to ensure that Bioniqs “builds on this excellent achievement in 2008".
